Tours & Tasting

Avenue of old trees

On Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm, rain or shine, you’ll find us at the barn, ready to welcome visitors who come to tour the Asquith Farm’s olive grove and taste our products. We’ve had this open-house policy for over a year, and it continues to be a success. Clearly, people enjoy a reason to venture into farmland and explore a working ranch. The tour we offer begins outside with the history of the grove, an explanation of the olive varieties, their maturing process, the harvesting, a visit to the tree nursery, and more. Visitors ask all kinds of questions, and we enjoy responding and sharing the adventure of producing premium-quality olive oils.

Tasting Room

Inside the barn, we explain our production equipment and the process of making olive oil. Next, our guests are invited to step into the Tasting Room. This is where all our products can be tasted free of charge. If so inclined, visitors can purchase products from us directly or place an order for mailing.

Olive Press imported from Tuscany

On occasion, visitors enjoy meeting other olive oil enthusiasts and sometimes engage in lively conversations. Picnic tables are set up under the old trees and some visitors stay on after the tour to enjoy a snack or picnic lunch that they have brought with them.

Ojai Trolley brings visitors to our farm

We are also open for tours on Wednesday afternoons at 1 pm. Group tours can be arranged by appointment. Sundays are reserved for the Ojai Farmers’ Market. For directions to our olive grove or questions relating to the free tours, please call us at (805) 701-3825 or send us an email at info@ojaioliveoil.com.

The olive grove is located at 1811 Ladera Road. This is in the north-east portion of the Ojai Valley. Take Ladera Road, which begins at Thacher Road, go approximately one-quarter mile on Ladera, turn left on Hermitage Road, then turn left as the road crosses a creek, following the signs to our grove.
